KESHMA is a Generative Archives & 2nd Order Social Software, a project of formatLabor Berlin in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Institut design2context, Zürich.
The book to the background of the project is now available.
KESHMA can be used for shared knowledge constructions, collaborative experiments in contexts such as research projects, educational environments, and in artistic, scientific or media-activistic projects. KESHMA is also a place for free e-participation und artistic material sharing.
KESHMA stands for (K)nowledge (E)nvironments & (S)hared (H)ybrid (M)edia (A)ccess1).
The KESMA.net, the KESHMA working plattform, has two parts: the KESHMA Wiki and KESHMA Blog.
KESHMA is a generative archives used for all kind of projects (KESHMA case), an open KESHMA MEDIA ARCHIVES, a digital Classroom Digital Classroom. The KESHMA Tool) you can use to create dynamic websites an and as a 2nd Order Social Software. In the Open Wiki you can work without moderation. In the media archives you can also find Tele-Lectures.
On the Keshma Mailing list you can discuss the use of KESHMA Case. If you are a KESHMA-user you can also use KESHMA Support.
For all private and uncommercial uses all services are free.
KESHMA is also a research project on collaboration structures, knowledge formations (production and distribution) and text, audio- videofile tele-communication in storage media. The research includes experiments with new forms of collaboration in experimentell knowlege formations, both telematic and in physical presence.
